Kan jag flyga med provisoriskt pass till Vietnam?

Seeking help reg. whether I'll be able to fly to Vietnam on Monday from Sweden using an emergency passport (flying with Thai Airways). The embassy opens on Monday morning, so I won't be able to reach them before then. If you're a 'regular' passenger from Sweden, you don't need a Visa if your staying less than 15 days - but does this also apply to emergency passports, and if no - would I even be able to get a Visa with an emergency passport?
Grateful for any past experiences/helpful recommendations on what to do.
