Cheapest time to fly ...

Hello,

I'm an American, but I have been living in Sweden for 3 years now. I'm planning to go home for a visit next Summer and I'm trying to do some pre-planning. I have been checking airfares for the past 2 years at different times, and it's really hard to say when is the cheapest time to fly. So, I thought I would come ask everyone here when is the cheapest time to fly? I would prefer to go during the Summer since I will start at the university in the fall of 2014. I plan on flying into NY and visiting friends there and traveling down south to visit more friends and arriving home to Texas. Once I am in the US I know how to score good deals there. It's getting to the US I am having problems with. Cheapest flight I have seen was around October for about 3800 sek round trip into New York. Can it be beat?

I would recommend registering on the site businessclass.se . The people there are really good at finding good deals on airfares. As well as when is the best timer to book.

Anders, is that a round trip price or one way? That definitely beats what I've ever found. Berg, thanks for the tip. I'm going to go check the site out now.

Thats one way to New York, Sorry missed that you wanted round trip.
But keep checking that site, prices change all the time.

I think that 3800 SEK round trip to NYC is a very good price seeing it's only 2 months left, but check Norwegian you might still find cheap tickets.
