Jag fick äran att vara med under en dokumentärinspelning med Dr Zahi Hawass, Egyptens chefsarkeolog, en imponerande man som verkligen kämpar hårt med att få hem egyptens skatter, han är känd för att vara kontroversiell utåt...och ja, det är han även privat.
Dokumentären (såpa) visas i History Channel om någon månad.
Dashur ligger ca 1 timme söder om Kairo, i en hörna av öknen på Nilens västra sida. Platsen är ett kungligt begravningsområde. Här hittar du den svarta, röda och böjda pyramiden. Det sägs att den röda pyramiden är världens första "äkta".

Chasing Mummies: The Amazing Adventures of Zahi Hawass is a History Channel production scheduled to air in May 2010. The series follows Dr. Zahi Hawass the renowned Egyptologist on his adventures across Egypt as he makes real archeological discoveries with a team of Americans and Egyptians engaging them in an unprecedented experiment in inter-cultural dynamics.
For four months a highly professional crew from USA, France, Sweden, Sudan, Canada, Ireland, UK and Australia along with 20 Egyptian TV production professionals, travelled from Alexandria to Luxor with Dr. Hawass and his fellows on a journey to uncover Egypt’s past.
The journey promises to transport the viewers into the exhilarating and exciting environment of Egypt’s breathtaking archeological sites and locations.
Some of the real discoveries Dr. Hawass makes are being seen for the first time on TV and include unearthing mummies, removing pylons from the bottom of the sea, climbing up the fifth chamber in the Great Pyramid of Giza, going down the Seti I tomb 140 meter narrow shaft in the Valley of the Kings.
