Tingeling

Being born in Sweden I lived and worked abroad for a major part of my life. As a journalist with focus targeted on Development, Human rights and the plight of refugees - especially in the Third World - I have lived and worked for many years in Africa. The many trips in Landrover between refugee camps and development projects has taken med through adventures of sorts. Sometimes in war zones like in the southern Sudan in the 80´for example. I worked and lived in Zimbabwe (4 years) after independence, I have lived in Mexico and in California - San Francisco - for the psycedelic years the 60´s.I spent a winter in Rwanda and in Uganda and Mozambique and a full year in Arusha, Tanzania. I spent months in India, done diving in Indonesia and goggling in the Seychelles and come to like Asia a lot after my very long love story with Africa.Last winter I spent in Managua, Nicaragua doing the interior decoration of the Swedish Embassy residence there. I sail rather regularly in the Mediterrainian and did the "sailing-of-my-life" rounding the Cape of Good Hope a few years back.
Today I live at the furthermost outpost in the beautiful Stockholm archipelago - yeah, all year round! Quite a contrast to my former life!
Here at the small island of Sandhamn - the sailing center of Sweden - just a few hours by boat from Stockholm I live in the woodlands, close to beautiful beaches, and with the roaring sea closeby..
In winter, when the days are as dark as the nights I pack my bag and take off..
